Gallows Hill will be closed for utility service works on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th of September 2018. The road will be closed from 8.00 am onwards and will open by 6.00am Monday 10th The extent of the closure and the suggested temporary traffic diversion route are shown on the plan enclosed.
Why are the works necessary?
The closure is necessary to enable the contractor to safely and efficiently carry out 3no road crossings for the Gas, Water and Electric services. These works are to be carried out in connection with the new residential development for Gallaghers and are necessary to satisfy planning conditions imposed as part of the planning permission for the development.
How long will they take to complete, restrictions and local access?
The works, which will be carried out by the contractor Fitzgerald civil engineering and are expected to be completed by 0600 hrs Monday 10th of September.
In the event that the contractor encounters unforeseen site conditions or is hindered by bad weather, the works may overrun. Information will be provided at the time, if a significant overrun is expected.
