Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire Mr Timothy Cox made a special presentation of a British Empire Medal to Graham Leeke to honour his outstanding service to the community of Bishop’s Tachbrook and Warwickshire. The ceremony and reception was held at the Judge’s House in Warwick on Tuesday 29th October, hosted by Councillor David Shilton, Chairman of the Warwickshire County Council and attended by representatives of the Parish Council, family and friends.
Mr Cox made special mention of Graham’s energetic and persistent efforts to create a better and stronger community life for all in Bishop’s Tachbrook through his skilful engagement of a wide range of people across the County. Graham was particularly commended for the example he has set of selfless community service. In response, Graham graciously acknowledged that this award was fitting recognition of the many people across Bishop’s Tachbrook who have worked so hard over the past decade to make the Parish such a great place to live. “Together we’ve been able to do so much more than any of us would have believed possible to serve all those who live in the Parish.”
