A46 Warwick bypass resurfacing and contraflow working – 26th July to 12th September

Due to the poor condition of the carriageway a full depth reconstruction is required – this should reduce the need for further repairs in the coming years

This requires the removal, to the sub-core, circa 400mm of excavation for a duration of about 4kms of the northbound carriageway

July, August and early September were seen as the best months to complete this as road traffic would be at its lowest

This also avoids the busy education periods (with the expectation) that the carriageway can be restored pre the school autumn term returning

Restrictions during contraflow working

A46 (northbound) services will be closed

No Exit or Entry (northbound side) slip roads closed for duration of works at Stanks also known as Budbrooke

No Exit (northbound side) slip road will be closed at Leek Wootton

A46 (southbound) services will be closed

No access across the coning from the northbound side into / out of the services for northbound traffic
