Act on Energy offer financial support to pay energy bills

Act on Energy are now able to offer financial support for qualifying residents who are struggling to pay their gas and electric bills

Vouchers are available residents who use a pre-payment meter and are struggling to afford their energy costs in the current time.

There are two kinds of voucher available:

  • Single occupants are eligible for a voucher worth £28
  • Couples or families are eligible for vouchers worth £49

Qualifying criteria

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Universal Credit

Or if you have a gross annual household income of less than £16,190 then other criteria will be applicable:

  • Recently been made redundant
  • Furloughed and are waiting to receive first payment and don’t know when this will be
  • Self- employed and income is unpredictable and/or they are waiting to apply for payment from the government
  •  Any referral from a Foodbank
