Call for Warwick district creatives to submit proposals for B2022 piece of art

Artists in Warwick District have been invited to submit proposals for four commissions up to £25,000 each to create new artworks with the subject to be taken from a sporting event at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Artwork can be in any art form and will be included as part of Birmingham 2022 Cultural programme that will run alongside the sports programme at next year’s Commonwealth Games. The sports in this creative brief are Lawn Bowls and Para Lawn Bowls, Swimming and Para Swimming, Athletics and Para Athletics, Basketball 3×3 and Wheelchair Basketball 3×3.

Interested artists and creative organisations can visit birmingham2022.com/culture to find out more and submit their proposals ahead of the deadline of 14 September.
