The International Scientific Forum on Home Hygiene is a scientific authority on home hygiene.
It was established in 1997 with the mission to promote health and wellbeing through improved hygiene (infection prevention and control) in home and everyday life settings.
The IFH is addresses hygiene from the viewpoint of the home and, more importantly, the family or household. It is dedicated to understanding the interrelated actions that family members undertake in their everyday lives to protect themselves from infectious disease:
- food and water hygiene,
- respiratory hygiene,
- laundering clothing and household linens,
- safe disposal of human and other waste.
- care of domestic animals
Below is their 14 page guide. If you are time challenged I suggest you concentrate on pages 2-3, 8-9 (unless at high risk, when 7 replaces 8), and 11.
