There’s more good news for electric vehicle owners, with preparations being made for the installation of 40 additional public charging points in Warwick District Council operated car parks.

This week a number of parking bays in the affected car parks will be temporarily closed in order for contractors from Warwickshire County Council to make the necessary groundworks. It is planned that the EV charging points will be fully operational by the spring in the following car parks;

  • Chandos Street, Leamington Spa
  • West Rock & Hampton Road, Warwick
  • Abbey End, Kenilworth

The programme, funded through the government’s OLEV and ORCS schemes also includes the provision of 8 additional sockets in St Peter’s Multi-Storey Car Park. These will complement the charging points already available in the car parks at Covent Garden and Station Approach.

Further information and updates about EV Charging Points will be made available on the Warwick District Council website.
