Oakley Wood Road roadworks update
Following an update meeting with Warwickshire County Council project leader Mark Evershed this week, the Parish Council are able to give the following update:
- Phase 1 & 2 of the works are now completed allowing the re-opening of Oakley Wood Road in both directions & the removal of traffic management.
- With Oakley Wood Road fully open in both directions, construction traffic will exit and enter the site via Harbury Lane in line with the Construction Management Plan (version Dec 2022). The Parish Council has requested additional HGV routing advisory signage together with the reinstatement of 30 & 50 mph signage on Oakley Wood Road.
- Phase 3 of the works cannot begin until the utility diversion works have been completed by the relevant utility companies. The scope, duration & timing of these works & associated traffic management measures is still not known. Oakley Wood Road will remain open in both directions until the utility works begin & construction of the school will continue as planned.
- The Parish Councilhas requested that the work to reinstate the old footpath on the East side of Oakley Wood Road is carried out as soon as possible in case the utility company diversion work requires the closure of the existing footpath.
- Residents are asked to forward any complaints regarding HGV routing & traffic management to Cllr Leigh Carter (leigh@bishopstachbrook.com) who will resolve any issues with Willmott Dixon & Balfour Beatty.
