South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust expands MyCare patient portal
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust has expanded their MyCare in Warwickshire patient portal to the vast majority of outpatient hospital services and is encouraging anyone over the age of 18 with an upcoming appointment to register.
The aim of the patient portal is to improve patient experience by enabling speedier communication between patients and the local Trust; and in the first instance focuses on the management of outpatient appointments and letters.
The portal is a secure online system that can be accessed anywhere as long as the patient has an internet connection; and once registered, patients are currently able to:
- View all their new appointment letters
- Set communication preferences to opt-out of paper appointment letters
- Add future appointments to their own digital calendars, such as Google or Outlook calendars
