Parish Giving Scheme
St Chad’s Church is a beautiful grade 1 listed building, dating back to the 12th century. It is the responsibility of the parish to maintain the church. As you can imagine this is an expensive task. The church roof has been repaired, after the theft of the lead, but there are still things that need to be done to keep this building going for future generations.
Last year the PCC joined the Parish Giving Scheme. This is run by Coventry Diocese and is an efficient way of making sure that contributions and the gift aid they generate reach the church.
It involves setting up a direct debit that would take money from your account on 1st of the month and that money is then transferred to the church account, plus the gift aid, within a few days.
The money can only be used for St Chad’s and if in any month you feel you cannot afford the amount you can ring them and they will cancel the payment.
Setting up a direct debit can be done over the phone, by filling in a form (contact Kate below) or online at www.parishgiving.org.uk.
The contact phone number is 0333 002 1271 and the number for St Chad’s account is 110611222. You will need your bank details to complete the process.
If you feel that this is not for you, then we are happy for you to continue to give in whichever way you wish. Many thanks for all your contributions.
