Warwick District Council seeks views on plans for the Myton Path and Fusiliers Way area
Local residents are being invited to give their views on plans to create a new traffic free link between the Myton Road in Warwick and Fusiliers Way as part of an ambitious scheme to provide new facilities to serve the area’s growing communities.
During the public consultation period, Warwick District Council will be hosting a series of drop-in events the first of which will take place on:
- Monday 14 October from 4.30pm to 6pm at Myton School (Upper School Hall)
- Wednesday 16 October 10am to 12pm and 4pm to 7pm, Temporary Unit, Myton Green Play Area & Ball Court, Fusiliers Way
Those attending the sessions will get the chance to meet the project team and see the emerging Masterplan, as well as plans for new employment opportunities, shops and facilities in the area for which their feedback will be sought. Partners from Warwickshire Property & Development Group will also be in attendance to discuss the commercial proposals within the plans.
The proposals and opportunities for the Fusiliers Way area include:
- Athletics facility to replace the existing facility at Edmondscote
- Neighbourhood Centre including local shops
- Employment opportunities
- Community Stadium that would serve as the new home ground of Leamington Football Club
- Community facilities of various types
- New nursery for pre-school children
