How to participate in the national lateral flow testing programme
UK citizens are being encouraged to participate in the national programme lateral flow testing. There are a number of options for testing which make it really easy for you to organise:
- Order tests to be delivered to home from https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing/
- Make an appointment at your local test centre – https://maps.test-and-trace.nhs.uk/
- Collect tests from participating pharmacies – https://maps.test-and-trace.nhs.uk/
Please make sure you check opening times and collection times of individual sites or pharmacies, but once you have your home tests you will find simple guidance to help you carry them out effectively and instructions for what to do next, including were to record your results.
This is important even if you have had both vaccinations as you may still get the virus and spread it (including to those who are yet to have the vaccine) and equally it helps with the identification of new strains and how they are working.
