Can you help with rewilding on the Meadow?
Volunteers are needed for a rewilding project for the perimeter areas of the Meadow.
This is scheduled for 27 February 2022 from 10am to 3pm. If you would like to help out, please meet in the social Club car park at 10 am.
The work entails scarifying the grass, raking and collecting the debris grass and dumping it in a selected area near the storage shed.
Olivia Williams from Warwickshire Wildlife Trust will be supervising and she will bring the scarifier, seeds PPE and rakes. Bring safety specs and gloves and your own tools if you prefer.
Please bring a hot drink and a packed lunch. Naturally, if there are lots of helpers, the job should be completed in the morning!
What is rewilding?
Rewilding is a progressive approach to conservation. It’s about letting nature take care of itself, enabling natural processes to shape land and sea, repair damaged ecosystems and restore degraded landscapes. Through rewilding, wildlife’s natural rhythms create wilder, more biodiverse habitats.
