With the Coronation just two months away, Warwick District Council is sending out a reminder to residents who are planning to hold a street party or big lunch, that the deadline to apply for a road closure is fast approaching.

The Coronation of Their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6 May. Groups of neighbours or community organisations are warmly encouraged to organise a celebratory event or gathering over the bank holiday weekend (Saturday 6 to Monday 8 May), provided the necessary permissions are in place, with applications to close a road or street to be submitted to the Council by Friday 24 March.

To make an application to close a road, visit www.warwickdc.gov.uk/streetparties. Applications for the Coronation weekend should be made by Friday 24 March.

And if you are planning a local event and want to spread the word or need planning assistance, then please contact Bishop’s Tachbrook Parish Council via coronation@bishopstachbrook-pc.gov.uk.
