Consultation open on Council’s Homelessness Strategy

Warwick District Council has today launched a consultation on its draft Homelessness Strategy for 2021-2026.

Since adopting the previous strategy in 2017, the Council has made significant progress in enhancing and delivering services for people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

The Council’s efforts to support and accommodate all rough sleepers during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic have all but eliminated rough sleeping, with the current provision ensuring there is no need for anyone to sleep rough on our streets.

The new strategy outlines the provision and preventative measures the Council plans to put in place to ensure that this good work continues and is extended to reducing all forms of homelessness.

The consultation closes on 7 March 2021.
