Latest consultations on Newbold Comyn and Tach Brook Country Park receive thousands of responses
Residents have once more come forward in their thousands to give their views on the future of Newbold Comyn, and the latest plans for Tach Brook Country Park.
Launched on 30 March 2020, the Newbold Comyn consultation asked residents and local users for their views on the draft masterplan of the much-loved park. The draft masterplan proposed:
an extension to the nature reserve
revised golf facilities with adventure golf and pitch & putt
high ropes, outdoor climbing and zip wires
a new visitor centre and café with football pavilion
a variety of cycle tracks across the former golf course
The consultation closed on 30 June with 2,213 responses received.
In a survey on the latest plans for Tach Brook Country Park that opened on the same date, respondents were asked to give their views on the latest plans for the new Country Park near Bishop’s Tachbrook. The plans showed the various play areas, wetlands and footpaths that would feature in the Country Park, as well as the various ways in which it could be used. In total, 1,992 responses were received.
The District Council will now review the results of each consultation to produce final masterplans for each location, which will be presented to the Council’s Executive later this year.
