Nominations open for ‘BandStand Together’

Following the postponement of the planned programme of live music in the Pump Room Gardens this year, Warwick District Council is planning to kick off 2021 with a special event dedicated to those in our district who have been affected by the COVID-19.

‘BandStand Together’ will be a unique online gig recorded at the newly restored bandstand.  To provide the playlist, the Council’s Green Spaces team is making a call to local people to dedicate a song to someone who has made a difference in the community or has had a particularly difficult time due to the pandemic.

A selection of the dedicated songs will be performed by local musicians who the Council is inviting to play for a nominal fee. Those interested in taking part should contact greenspaces@warwickdc.gov.uk for more information.

Further details and updates on ‘Bandstand Together’ can be found on the Warwick District Council Website. The closing date to nominate a song is Sunday 3 January 2021.
